glock 34

MORE GLOCKS

I have a question. Has anyone modified a glock 34 slide to take a glock 35 barrel? I am building a glock 35 from a glock 22. i Have extra glock 35 barrels. glock 35 slides are hard to come by, and can be very expensive. I have an extra glock 34 slide. Can i just bore out the end of the slide and use it with a glock 35 barrel? Any input will be welcome.

I suspect the breech face on a G34 slide will be sized for a 9mm and not a .40, too (more machine work).

Couldn't you just use the longer barrel from the 35 with the shorter slide from the 22? I mean, it would look different, but you're right about 35 slides being hard to find and expensive.

I like conversions, but don't know about the one you are considering. I did have a G34 and G35. IIRC, my G35 slide was heavier. There was less steel machined away internally to compensate for the greater recoil impulse of the .40 S&W cartridge. I guess anything is possible, but with this and other potential issues, I'd be reluctant to do the conversion you're considering. What about selling your current parts and pieces and buying a new, or nice used, G35?
