Glock 33 owners sound off!

I like my G26 so well that I am thinking about a G33 next. Please give me your overall impressions and how is recoil without mag exts. Should I go with the G27 instead?

I own a G33 and have owned a G27. I find the G33 just as controllable as the G27, even without a finger extension. The G33 recoil has more snap (more instant initial pistol movement during recoil...make sense?) to it but it really isn't any more harsh, in my opinion/experience.

Also, FWIW, the G33 I have is more accurate than my G27 was. My G31C is also quite a bit more accurate than my G22. The .357SIG seems to be inherently more accurate. I'd go with the G33 and go through enough practice ammo to get used to the "different" recoil and enjoy the accuracy and reliability advantages of the "new" cartridge. :)

I should add that I like it so much, it has become my primary concealed, off duty pistol. You'd be hard pressed to find a better sub-compact in my opinion.

I have a G32 and I love it. Have you thought about getting it instead of a G33? It's about the same size(a little bigger) as a G33 with the grip extenders and very accurate. Based on my experience with the G32 though, if you like the size of the G33 I would get it. The only reason I bought a G32 instead of the G33 is because of the way it felt in my hand.

Yes I agree on the 357 Sig accuracy. I have owned the Glock 31 and Sig 229 in that cal and found the accuracy to be great. I want to keep the G33 size as I have an Alessi ankle holster for my G26 and want to be able to use it. Now if memory serves me correctly either the G27/G33 cals can be changed with just a barrel swap. Am I correct on the subcompact models? Thanks.

Does anyone carry their G33 in their pocket? If so, how easy is it to spot?

Also, what is a good IWB holster for it?

I have a G29(10MM), but might also consider the G33 if it is realistic for deep concealment.

I carry my G33 in a plain, cheap nylon Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 15 clip-on IWB holster. Very thin, comfortable, and concealable.

I really like my 33, but my large hands need at least a plus one extension. Recovery is slower than my Glock 21, or my Sig Pro in .40. The Hicap mag/Grip extension makes it a bit easier to shoot than the plus one extension. I shoot tighter groups with the 21, but I can hit the sweet spot every time at seven yards...Well, almost every time :) It conceals almost as well as my Kahr K9.

I love my G33. The pocket rocket of the Glock lineup is a giggle a minute to shoot. Powerful, accurate, and compact, it's a package that was inconcievable in a handgun just 10 years ago (remember the original Desert Eagle in .357? No more capacity or power, and the thing is as big as a house...).

All that being said, my G29 usually beats it out for carry in the gunshop or CCW. One more round of a bigger, heavier, faster bullet in a package not too much bigger...
