Glock 32 vs. 23 questions, please help!

I was reading that due to the "beefiness" of the .357Sig round, the Glock 32 has been beefed up compared to the Glock 23.

Like what? I think someone told me that the rails are thicker, where?

Can someone help me out and give me the specs on what changes Glock has made to the guns in order to handle the 357 round?

Thanks!

Albert

The Glocks in .357 SIG are stronger than the original .40 S&W Glocks (those without the finger grooves and frame rails). But the current .40 S&W Glocks use the same frames as their .357 SIG counterparts; Glock reinforced all the frames so that the .40s could be converted to .357.

The biggest difference is that the steel frame rails have been lengthened.

Get the Glock 23 (23C preferably) and then you can sell it to me!

Enjoy your new toy and report back ASAP,
Ben

The rails aren't thicker, but they are longer. The original G22 and G23 rear rails were .4" long and the newer gun have rear rails that are .6" long. All .40 and .357 frames are now the same.

As a certified Glock Armorer, I can say without a doubt that the current model 23 and 32's are identical except for the barrel. You can buy the other barrel and drop it in to switch calibers. The magazines are interchangeable as well. The last Glock I bought was a 32 (only because it was available at the time). I then bought a Glock factory .40 barrel and .40 preban high cap magazines. They work great.

twoblink,
Go buy a "Shotgun News" at your local grocery store. There are MANY magazines for sale listed in there.
