Hey i got a glock 31 i`ve had for a few weeks now and having a problem with it jamming on UMC 125Gr.Fmj. Have anyone had a problem with these bullets ?I`ve only got about 100 rounds through it so far and am wondering if the glock has a breakin period as i`ve heard this gun is supposed to not have any feeding problems at all.I really like the gun though and wonder if I need to send it back to the factory for a check up or what.It does not seem to have a problem with the corbon 115 gr . load though.

the round stops part way out of the chamber and i have to drop the mag and pull the slide back a hair to get it to chamber .

Dollars to doughnuts, you're "limpwristing", one of the most common causes for malfunctions to new Glock users. I have a friend who's over 6' and weighs about 250, but when he shot my Glock 21, he kept experiencing the same jams that you describe. I'd shoot the gun, same ammo, no problems. He was limp wristing.

You don't have to grip the gun in a death grip, but you do need to keep your wrist and elbow locked.

try other factory FMJ target ammo and see what happens. you are probably either limp wristing or its the ammo.

i doubt it's the ammo though and a G31 CAN jam but it's not easy. combining glocks reliability and a feeding friendly bottle-necked round is a combo that's hard to beat.

i would hold off on sending it back to glock yet. next time at the range shoot more UMC while conciously thinking to lock your wrist. then shoot some other brands of FMJ ammo and see what happens. if it still jams with the UMC then its the ammo. if it jams with the other ammo and your not locking you wrist then your limp wristing. if it jams no matter what you try then its the gun.

many guns do have a break in period but i don't think glock should be more than 100rds or so.

Are you by any chance using .40 magazines to load your 357 SIG rounds? Glock has various magazine versions out. Some feed one or the other well, and some can feed both well.

My 357 SIG magazines are made to correctly support the bottlenecked 357. If I put .40 round in the magazine, the bullet actually points a bit high.
