Ok. I've already used the search option. I suspect the answer to this question is in the forums but I'm going ahead and asking.

I bought a glock 30 s yesterday. I thought the 30 and 30 sf mags would be interchangeable but the salesman said they are not???

I don't see where they cannot use the glock 30 mags.

Help.

Same... Wow, if the sales guy cant get the most basic and linear line of handguns like Glock figured out, he is doomed with every other brand.

And you can use the G21 magazines, for a few more rounds.

The 30S is fine gun and I am very pleased with it.

I stocked up on G21 mags for mine. They hang out a bit but it doesn't bother me and the extra capacity for reloads is always a good thing.

I'm very pleased with my 30s. It did shoot a bit high for me so I replaced the rear sight with the lowest Glock sight and it shoots much closer to point of aim now. Great pistol!

Uncle Malice, I don't know what you expect a Gen 4 to give you which the 30S doesn't already.

OK, yes, the reversible mag release is new on the Gen 4. As for the new Gen 4 recoil spring design, the Model 30S and the Model 29 SF already had those, maybe even prior to the Gen 4 models hitting the store shelves.

But the Gen 4 large frames, prior to putting on the extra backstrap parts, are currently the same as the Gen 3 SF frames. I think. And I may be wrong. Somebody let me know if I am wrong, please.

I believe there are some trigger and other internal part changes in the Gen 4 which would be some improvement, but those are likely already in the currently made 30S.

Gen4 grip texture.

The G30/29 models have always had the dual spring option. I've owned the G30, G30SF, and G29 in the past.

They Gen4 and Gen3 SF frames are technically the same dimensions, although the Gen4 feels slightly smaller to me, due to the way the grip texture locks it into the hand.

There is a slight change in the angle of the disconnector on the Gen4 trigger housing, but that's not a major concern.

I like the feel of the Gen4. That's all.

Ditto with me. That is why I now have a G19, using it without any of the strap additions on it.

I put Henie Straight-8 sights on my other Glocks but the G19 was slightly used and came with even better sights. They are marked Trijicon so I guess they came from that company.
