Glock 30 or 36

I will be issued a 21 as an LEO but before then I want to buy a CCW gun that will compliment the 21. This will also help familiarize me with shooting Glocks before I actually carry professionally.

Which would be better the 30 or 36?

I currently CCW a Ruger P97, about 33 ounce with 9 rds.

G30 all the way! The G36 is unavalible or impossible to find! Your G21 hicap mags will fit the G30 ...Not the G36!!!!

Better judged by 12 then carried by 6!
 
Sounds good to me, thanks. I didn't know that about the mags. Which mags come with a 30. The 10 rnd mag or 9 rnd. If you have a choice which would you recomend.

The 30 comes with two 10rd mags. I usually carry IWB with the 9rd mag because it doesn't print onto my shirt the way the 10rd does. Any other method of carry, I use the 10rd mags.
