Glock 29 advice sought

I've got the 10mm bug in a big way. I've located a G20 and a Delta Elite for purchase. I really want to check out the G29 for CCW. I've looked at the specs and some of the custom stuff available (you can never leave any gun stock can you?) but need some advice from folks who have them.

What are some folks experiences with the G29? Recoil? Grip length? +1 extensions? Concealability? Do they accept G20 mags as well? Anything pertinent I should know about the gun as a CCW weapon.

Already carry HK USP 45C or S/A Ultra Compact, but have this hankerin' for a 10mm. Besides, the full-size guns I can take hog and deer hunting!

Have a G29.

Love it.

No plus-ones, as mag is already 10 rounds. Recoil is no worse than the G30's with stout loads. Yes they take G20 mags; you can purchase an A&G Grip Extender to slide over the bottom of the G20 mag and match the contours of the G29's grip.

Good for you.

Trust me, the 10mm Auto is currently the MOST versatile handgun cartridge. It possesses a broad power spectrum to play in, is readily available, is chambered in autoloaders of reasonable size and weight, and is up to any task you're ever likely to ask a handgun to do.

In addition to what Tamara posted, you might be interested to know that Glock 10mms in particular are, without question, Gaston's most versatile pistols. That's because the G-20 & G-29 are both 3-in-1-guns.

From Federal Arms you'll simply order 2 drop-in match grade barrels, one in 40 S&W and one in .357 Sig. Simply remove the 10mm barrel, swap-in either of the other barrels, and you're up & shooting a different caliber. Nothing else is needed, since you'll be using the Glock 20/29's factory mags and recoil assembly. They'll fit and work with these other cartridges, as both are derivatives of the parent 10mm (i.e., the .40 S&W from the 10mm, then the .357 Sig from the .40, chronologically speaking).

So there you have it: the MOST versatile handgun cartridge extant, chambered in the MOST versatile Glock presently made.

Says all the right things to me. Go for it. :)

I regularly carry a Glock 29 when I need more concealment than the G 20. I don't know what you could do to a G 29 to improve it in any way. Great guns and I seem to be able to shoot the G 29 a little better than the G 20. I think it's because the G 29 has a little smoother trigger.
