Glock 27...wow!

I've been carrying and shooting a gen 3 glock 27 that I picked up new in box for 525 out the door. I must say that out of all the guns I've ever shot, (and I've shot a lot) this by far has to be my favorite. The way it handles for its size is amazing it Carries great in the pocket or in the waist band. I've got around 500 rounds rounds threw it without a single issue. It has replaced my shield as my back up duty gun and as my edc. Best purchase I've made in a really long time.

Glad you like it. The baby Glocks have been well received. I have a G26, and find it to be both easy to conceal and easy to shoot well. It isn't a pocket gun for me, but more power to you if it works for you.

The subcompact Glocks like the 26, 27, and 33 are, imo, the best Glocks to spend money on. A lot of people swoon over the 19's and 23's, but for a minuscule amount of extra grip length in the G17 and G22, you get a Glock with a longer barrel and sight radius.

But, for how small the Glock 26 and 27's are, you get a very light and concealable piece that you can easily turn into a gun with a Glock 19 grip length for a better grip, which would be a good option for a spare magazine.

What I'd really like to see Glock do is come out with a Glock that has the 26/27 grip, but the slide length of a 19/23. That way you still have the ability to use the shortest possible grip, but be able to use longer mags and get a longer grip, but have the extra slide length for better sight radius.

G19/23 Slide/Barrel on a G26/27 frame will work. Just need that little adapter to cover up the dust cover opening. OR just take a hacksaw to a G17/19/22/23 frame and shorten the grip. :D

And I would like to see Glock come out with the opposite, the 19/23 grip with the 26/27 slide length:)

Um... you know you can have that right now, right? Pop a G19 mag into the G26 and use a spacer and you'll have exactly that.

I got the G27 about a yearish ago after being an anti Glock person. I tend to like hammer fired pistols. The G27 is my only striker fired pistol and I doubt I will get another,

Got it for 435 bucks plus tax NIB at a local dealer.

I now carry it about half and half with my Sig P938.

I like it! And I got the 357 Sig barrel and mags in it now.

It is a pretty good shooting pistol and I pocket carry it most of the time....a little heavy, but I do not mind.

I have G27 as well; my running (and lately walking the dog) gun.

This praise for a gun in .40 S&W, in such a small package, begs to be contrasted to the increasing public (particularly police) narrative that the .40 in larger, traditional, originally 9mm-sized packages was just "too much" gun to handle.

I picked up an almost new G33 with night sights for $400 a couple of years ago. And it came with 300 rounds of premium hollow point ammo.. :D

I have a g26 as well, I like the small frame Glocks.

Have a 27 and felt the same way about it after the first time out at the range!
Still use it for my CCW and would never consider parting with it! ;)

Picked up my new to me Glock 27 Gen 4 this week. Came with 3 mags, all the backstraps, Trijicon HD sights... I can't believe I've been without this gun. I feel as thought it completes me.

WOW! is a very good word to describe the Glock 27.

I thought the g26 was the answer to my prayers once....then started shooting it. That crappy short grip I found useless, totally useless. I finally replaced it with a Shield and haven't even imagined looking back.

Though I must admit, I'm probably going to get a CZ PCR or p-01 for nights out on the town where I want a more classy gun.

I buy a 27 if I didn't have 2 M&P40c that I really like!

I have a G35 and the 27 would be a good little brother to it...so maybe...???

Glock 27 is a great pistol, I know some people that carry those and some carry the Glock 33. I have carried a Glock 26 for many years and have been pleased with it. It has been my daily carry gun and my back up gun for a while. I don't leave home without it.

My agency gave us 27s for backup. I hated them. Too small to be easily shootable and too big to be easily carryable. Pretty much the entire department felt the same way. No one, except a 70 year old investigator who carried it for his primary, actually carried them.

From a security or law enforcement background, I can see why the subcompact Glocks don't appeal, but for civilian concealed carry, I think they're a great choice.

Too big to be a backup gun, no doubt.
