I am getting ready to order a glock 27 from B&H gun Rack in Merritt Island, Florida.

I've lined up a receiving FFL but wanted to make sure that nobody out the in TFL land has had a bad experience with this Florida distributer.

Thanx in advance.........Sleepy

Sleepy...

If you don't mind my curiosity, why are you ordering a G27 from so far away?
In any case, my 1998 G27 is my number one reliable pistol. The accuracy is amazing. Even my wife loves it. (It's the only pistol I can out-shoot her with. Old farthood is creeping up on me.)

Old farethood isn't bad. That's why I like the 27, compact, accurate and a site picture that I can see.

I ordered this from afar because even after shipping and FFL fees the price beat local prices by $70 and gun show pricing by $40.

It's worth waiting a few extra days for shipping. This is an addition to an already crowded gun safe so the wait is not as bad. If this however was my first ever gun purchase, I would have paid the extra $$$ to have it in my hand yesterday!

Thanx to all for your feedback

On the side, anyone have a preference for Mag extenders ? Pearce, scherer...??? which is better?

Unquestionably Pearce +1 extension. Brings you up to 10 rounds and functions flawlessly. Looks like factory on top of it.

I love my G27... it's the only pistol I own that can literally travel with me anywhere. I love the way they feel, very solid, no nonsense little pistols, and for the size, that .40 round is no joke! Although I love my '27, I had a little trouble living with it before I made the following minor modifications: The Pearce +1 grip extenders are a must! I hate shooting it without that extra finger groove. I had trouble with (my) accuracy too before I had a 3.5# connector and AO sights installed. They made the small gun that much easier to shoot. I love these little things though, congratulations on your purchase.

I paid $409.88 + 8% sales tax for a G-27, back in
July of 1996. And you know what? It out shot a Sig
P229 w/SigLite night sight's that I paid a total of
$813.20 for.  :D

Thanx for all your replies. This must be a real popular weapon since I had a dickens of a time locating one for a fair price.

Now that I have it I have to locate a holster. My local gun shops are awaiting their Don Hume orders. Seems like accessories are back ordered as well for this popular backordered weapon.

By the way B&H in FL did not come through. After receiving my FFLs info as they requested, I followed up to give them credit card info at which time they told me the G27 they were "holding" (since they couldn't write up the order until the ffl info was in their hands), for me had already been sold. They put me on a waiting list but I tired of waiting for their call so I purchased from a local retailer for a fair price (especially since they are so hard to find) As an added ++, the retailer is a Glock Armorer. He was recommended by some of my LEO friends. Is education and problem solving worth an extra $50 over internet or gun show purchase? you bet it is

You did good. I support the same local dealer for every purchase. My G27 was $459.95 in 1998, but they've gone up to $489.95 as of last month. You will simply love it. I carry mine in a Dillon "Master" or Dillon "CYA". Thw CYA stayed in the dark drawer of unused holsters for a long time. It hurt my back. But then another "TFL" member told me to slide it right a little (over my right "cheek"), with a belt loop in between the slots and PRESTO! Instant comfort! The "CYA" has a tension screw, also.
