Do i have to have the ported version of the glock 27 in .40 cal in order to be able to use a 357 sig conversion barrel in the gun. In other words i have a glock 27 and i am wondering if a 357 sig barrel ported will work in my gun? thanks

It could be nasty if you used a ported barrel that was made to work with the slide ports in a Glock 23C.

Make sure the ported 357 sig barrel is longer than your 40 barrel and make sure the porting holes are in front of the front sight, not inside the slide.

The ports will probably end up halfway inside the slide. That will not be fun to clean. :(

Also, the gases building up in the slide could damage your gun or yourself!

Yes you need a ported slide. My second thought is have you given any thought to the muzzle flash this beast is going to produce. You will be able to get a tan by the light produced. Regards, Richard.
