Glock 26 guide rod

The last trip to the range my Glock 26 had two round that didn't feed properly. Yes they were reloads (115gr fmj). This gun has digested about 1000 rounds of this type ammo. Could my factory guide/recoil rod be wearing out? How many rounds is that unit good for? Never a problem even with 147gr fmj's. I guess it could have been a fluke. Thanks!

Well I have over 7000 rnds thru my G17 and still has all the original parts , i would guess it could be a multitude of factors, if they are reloads then low powder volume is possible, usually the heavy grain bullets hit harder so unless he is loading them light i would just make note of it and as you shoot the 115gr if it cont. then ask him to step them up by one step. or use factory ammo. these can happen every now and then just watch the ammo it happens most with and avoid it.
