Glock 23 or Taurus PT 24/7 45ACP?

I am looking at buying one of these guns for basic home protection and was wondering which would be the best? I am considering all aspects...cost of ammo...cost of parts...ease of breakdown...etc...
 
Not to thread hijack but a Glock 19 is better than both of these. Have you shot them such that you are familar with each?

If these are the only choices - the 23 is better.
