I picked up a new G22 gen4 this past Friday and finally shot it today. I really didn't know what to expect as the only other 40 caliber I've shot was an M&P40.
I was very impressed with how well the gen4 Glock 22 handled the 40 round. The snappiness of the 40 was a non-issue and the gun ran perfectly. It was very interesting to feel how light the gun was and how well it mitigated the recoil for me. I feed it the cheap stuff, it begged for more and kept on eating it. I also shot some defensive hollow point ammo thru it with no issues. I had a great first outing with the new addition.
Before the Gen4 Glocks, I really didn't like the way they fit my mid to small sized hands. Really glad I didn't give up on Them and gave the latest versions a try. I'm not one of the fans that think they are the greatest guns ever designed, but they do work very well for me. I've also owned and enjoyed S&W, Rugers and Springfields.
