Glock 21C vs G30

My Glock 21 performs flawlessly at IPSC tournaments but I am thinking of getting a compensated version G21C to give me an even greater advantage (SPEED AND accuracy). Is the 21C as good as the original? Are compensators as big a pain in the butt to clean as I hear?

Else, I will probably get a Glock 30 to backup my 21. Opinions please...is the G30 almost as accurate as the 21?

I had to shoot next to a 21C recently. Now, I own a 21 and should know how it sounds...but that gun was loud enough for me to go look and then to stay away till the shooter used up his ammo. That gun was LOUD. Not sure if it was a standard G21c or if it was ported later but the noise was amazing...worse than an unported G20 (10mm) but far. Sure you want it?

I never considered the noise factor. In fact the noise throws me off more than the recoil. I think you might be right...better stick to non-C Glocks. Guess I should get the 30. I want to trade my G17 in very soon...while it still has a low round count for another .45 Glock. The G17's accuracy is a big disapointment!

The G30 is more accurate than the G21 in my experience.

On the otherhand, the G34 is more accurate than the G17.

If thats the case (the G30 is more accurate) I will be one happy camper since my G21 is more accurate than I am!

My G17 has been an inaccurate gun for as long as I can remember. Now, all of a sudden, it shoots one hole at 21ft (which is about the limit of my skill anyway)...maybe I just learned how to use it better?

Guess "inaccurate" is like the Cobray pepperbox .22 which makes a 6" group at that distance or the Hi-point .380 which makes a 4" group. Maybe those are "patterns"?

Check out www.glocktalk.com. The first specialized forum they made was just for the Glock 30 shooters, because it is so popular and has such a religious following.

Get a Glock 30 and you will be drawn into the fanaticism.

Most people agree that the Glock 30 is pretty much the most accurate Glock there is. Yes, it should be more accurate that your Glock 21.
You absolutely will not be disappointed with the accuracy. The only way the Glock 30 is inaccurate is if YOU are inaccurate with it. Everone has their preferences, and some people shoot some guns better than others, but the Glock 30 can pretty much be guaranteed to by more accurate than you are. If you like the Glock 21 and can deal with the fat grip, then you will LOVE the Glock 30.

At one point, the Glock 30 was extremely hard to find because it was in so muich demand. Glock has had to really increase production to keep up.

Buy one, and if you don't like it, I will buy it from you ;)

You have me convinced...I will try to find a Glock 30 (I hear they are hard to find).

One question remains: why is the 30 more accurate than the 21? After all, the 21 has a longer sight radius and barrel...
