Glock-21? Really that good a deal?

Folks,

Simple question. The Glock-21 is popular because it's a .45 and with high cap's you get 13 rounds.
Unfortunately I've found a problem, is it just me or for such a popular pistol there are far fewer products (from training at the range to using "blue mags" for tactical reloads) for the G-21 than most other models of Glocks?
Any reason??

Thanks,

Jon

I think G21's dont need alot of add ons. they're out there if you search around. I dont know exactly what it is you need for it, but all I did was put night-sights and +2 floorplates on mine. I practice my tactical reloads at the range, live fire. Who cares what people think as long as you're safe. All this gun needs is more ammo...more ammo...more ammo, so I can practice...practice...practice. Buy ammo, because too much ammo doesnt happen.

They're great pistols. I know of no one who has had one who dislikes them.

BUT, I'm moving this thread to Handguns: Auto Pistols.

I have a Glock 21, and if I need a self-defense handgun in my house, that's the one I reach for. If I can't solve the problem with 14 rounds of .45ACP, I should have grabbed one of the AR's or a shotgun! I personally think that the +2 adapters that are around are a mistake. The magazine was designed for 13 rounds, and it works perfectly at that capacity. I've seen two people over the years shoot all the rounds in their Glock pistol over the floor when the +2 adapter fell off the magazine. Now, you have a one shot pistol, no thanks! Other than better sights, and perhaps a Wolff spring and rod, why change anything on the gun?

I have 7 Glocks, 2 of which are 21's. I carry either a G19, G23, or G22, and shoot both 21's, the 17 and the 34 in USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge and GSSF. Everything thats available for any Glock is also available for the G21.
You don't need dummy mags to practice your tactical/retained or slide lock reloads, you need dummy rounds. The blue mags are for instructors. That's why the dummy guns are red and the mags are blue....

Other than a holster for concealed carry, I don't feel like my G21 has really needed any particular accessories. Due to its reliability and pure ease of shooting, the best G21 (IMHO) is a stock G21. Admittedly, however, I'd say the same about any Glock. :)

BTW, I did invest in half a dozen hi-caps for it.

I own 2 G21s myself. I don't see many areas that need improvement except for sights, which I replace the factory sights with Novak's. I also installed a Hogue Hand-All on my "pre-finger grove" model. I'm also always on the lookout for standard cap mags.
