Glock 21 Frames Only For Sale???

Point Blank

On Ebay, a gentleman is selling a complete slide with barrel, etc. for a Glock 21. I am wondering, are just the frames available for sale on any website, etc.??? Thanks for any replies!!

I'm sure that you could order just the frame, but it would still have to go through an FFL in most cases. I'm not too familiar with Glocks, but I THINK that some, if not most, of the frames are interchangable. The guy on EBAY probably decided that he liked the .40 better and traded "uppers". Some of the Glockmeisters here, or at Glocktalk, could tell you for certain.

Thanks..the complete slide with barrel is currently $120sumpthin, i am going to hunt around for a $100 frame if possible. Would be a cheap Glock 21 :p

$100 would be a great deal, but I doubt if you'll find one that cheap.

I couldn't access this site tonight, but go to www.glockmeister.com and click on free technical information.
There is info there about which receivers will work with which uppers. Good luck!

He might be trying to get around the ebay rule which makes proffering firearms for auction verboten.

Just posting a picture of the upper and the rest is well . . . wink wink; nudge nudge; say no more - say no more; know what I mean - know what I mean?

Send him an email, see what he says.

Maybe he's offering only the uppers because the receiver on the Glock is considered legally to be the firearm. The slide, barrel, etc. are just parts. So, he should be able to sell the upper on ebay.

Wouldnt the slide, etc. be considered the reciever?? I am thinking one could sell the lower on Ebay, but not the upper (reciever) Anyways, its still listed, and drawing a tad under $150....but several days to go. Should get his email address just incase Ebay yanks it off..

I don't think you can legally buy just a Glock receiver unless you have one to trade in for the new one. You can buy as many barrels or slides as you want.

Glock used to offer the service of "fitting" a frame to your existing upper but just a couple of months ago they stopped the practice.

They would require your upper to be sent to them and they would mate it up w/a frame. They did this for liability reasons.

The cost shipped back to your FFL was $150.00. I know this to be the case because myself and a few others did just this with 24C uppers when they were plentiful.

Glockmeister may still offer this service, I'm not sure. I haven't been to their site for quite sometime.
