Glock 20

I am seriously thinking about getting a Glock 20. I can shoot a glock pretty good, and I like the 10mm. I all ready own a HK USP40 and a Sig Sauer P228. What are your opinions/sugestions?

G20:

The "Autocannon" is a pretty unique and fun handgun. There's a 6" hunting barrel available for the gun that really adds oomph to heavy duty 10mm loads. 15-round magazines are still floating around out there. It's a neat, hard-hitting, flat-shooting gun that doesn't recoil badly at all.

"I have shot my friends and loved it."

Dont we all have that urge sometimes :)
But seriously, my Glock 20 is my favorite and most versital handgun. Fast and accurate with some serious 'carbine range' potential. I have let many folks shoot it, 2 of which had never fired a handgun, and no one complained of recoil. Most exclaimed "what kind of wusses are they hireing at the FBI that couldnt handle that?!" i find the cmplaints of excessive recoil from the 10mm mostly come from folks that have never fired a 10. It still boggles my mind how the .40 can be so insanely popular and the 10mm is all but dead. Can you imagine a world where the .38 is more popular and respected than the .357 mag??? If you look at the numbers there is actualy more gain between the .40 and 10 than the .38 and .357

Excellent choice.

Out of the box, the G-20 chambers the most powerful, most versatile autoloading round currently available in a conventionally-sized handgun - one that's reasonably concealable, accepts hi-cap mags, and, because of the polymer, weighs less than an all-steel pistol holding a third less cartridges.

The only thing I did to mine was add night sites. No failures to feed, fire, extract, eject, etc.

Enjoy!

I had one slip through my fingers for.......$475 yesterday! :(

That was with two hi-cap mags!:( :(

Where is my medication? Im going to be sick.

:barf:

Hope to find a good deal on one soon.

I have a Glock 20C and it is great. Very accurate and a pretty darn good trigger. Very reliable until I somehow managed to break the slide stop lever.

Most of the gripes about the ported models (e.g. muzzle flash) seem to be unfounded, but in retrospect I'd just get the basic 20 instead.

The Glock factory 6" barrel is very accurate and doesn't adversely affect reliability. The only thing I changed on mine was the sights, which I replaced with Heinie Slant-Pros.
