I´m planing to buy a 6" barrel for my G20. So I´d like to know how accurate this combo is at 50 or 100 yds.
Thanks, ALEX

same as the stock unless it is a barsto fitted. the only thing you'll get is higher velocity and more energy at 100yards so it is good for hunting. but as far as accuracy goes, you have to get a fitted barsto barrel or KKM and jarvis. SemiDrop free barrels are a little more accurate than stock. www.barsto.com

Alex T,

I recently fitted a Bar-Sto semi-drop in 5.5" barrel to my G20C. It is non-ported.

If you had to look twice at the first sentence no problem. The semi-drop in had to be fitted. It would not go in the slide.

The accuracy at ALL ranges increased substantially. I have yet to actually measure group sizes because of the weather here in NJ but, there was a definate increase.

At 15 and 25 yards it will cut one ragged hole in a target. The off-hand accuracy at 50 yards for 15 rounds was about 6-8" w/the Hornady 200 gr. XTP bullet. I would suspect that further testing at 50 yards using a rest will improve the accuracy greatly but I was happy with 6-8" off-hand.

I recommend the Bar-Sto highly. They are worth the wait and $$.

I put a Bar-Sto 5.5" semi-drop-in (no fitting required - it fit very tight but just right, right from the start!) in a G29, NOT a G20, and yes it looks funny with that barrel sticking way out. Then I mag-na-ported it and put an Optima 2000 on the pistol. It seems pretty accurate but I've never tested it beyond 25 yards, so couldn't tell ya.
