Glock 19 trigger pull recommendation

For accurate shooting do you guys suggest one smooth trigger pull or taking up the slack in the trigger, pause and then fire. I've been dry firing in the house tonight and experimenting with taking up the slack before firing and it seems like I can get better accuracy. TIA for advice.

Hello...I love my 19 and Glocks in general, except for the stock two-stage trigger. A glock armorer recently put me onto the 3.5connector/NY1 spring combo and I've put it on all my Glocks(personal and issued). Basically makes it one continous(sp),one-stage pull(5-7Lbs.) Take care.

I use the 3.5# connector with the factory trigger spring. I don't think that I'd like the revolver feel of the NY spring.

After the first shot, practice releasing the trigger only far enough for reset. Then, you'll have a pretty decent single-stage pull for follow up shots. You might make some unintentional doubletaps when you are first learning, but lots of us Glocksters use that method quite well. I never fire without either taking up the slack or releasing only enough for reset.

I would take up the slack and then fire, if that's what works for you. You know, you don't have to let the trigger go all of the way forward after each round. If you are doing rapid fire, each shot after the first can be just a tug away. Oops...look like Walter beat me to that one. I need to read more carefully. :)
