Please oh please help me out guys. I have owned a Glock 19 and a 22 (sold one to my dad, the wife owns the other one now). I have been agonizing over this quandry for over three months and I still cannot decide. The little women said I can only have one, and I do have the reloading dies for a 9mm, so other than the mythical KBs out there, any suggestions?

Greetings tobeat1, Since you already have the
dies for the 9m/m; that's the one I would get. After all, a good shooter can do anything with a 9, that the other guy
can do with a .40!!! :)

hey...but I thought the .40 would make the bad guy "deader"....?

actually the suggestion about the G32 was a good one.

I actually have the G23 and 27 and am planning on getting the .357 barrels for them (all are 3rd Gen frames)

I have heard of others using .40 cal models with 9mm barrels, but the 357-40 combination is more widely done...

must investgate the 9mm conversions more.

Kb's aren't mythical...they are quite well documented....usually happens with .40 or .45 due to a combination of unsupported chambers and hot re-loads...but rest assured...it is in no way limited to glocks....ALL pistols have suffered....Glocks atre just much more widely used....per capita...it works out the same....and it has happened in all calibers....

be careful with your reloads, don't use lead in a stock glock barrel and you shouldn't have any problems...

good luck

If I were you I would consider the Glock 27. It is the creme de la creme of Glocks. It has reasonable recoil, hides well, and is accurate. If you buy an A&G Adapter and use it with a Glock 23 magazine it feels the same as a Glock 23. Regards, Richard.

It sounds like the 19 makes more economical sense. I would get the 19.

I would go with the Glock 32.

You want beef in a round, a .357Sig and a 10mm are the logical choices...

If you get the 23-C, you get the power of the 40 plus recoil similar to a 9mm. Best of BOTH worlds.

I have a Glock 23 and love it. I also have a Glock 26 which I think highly of. While I in no way think that the 9mm. is feeble, I do believe the .40 has an edge in effectiveness. You can also get a .357 Sig barrel for the 23 if you like the lighter, faster theory; if you get a 19, you'll always only have a 9mm. (Remember what the little lady said).
