I recently purchased another Glock 19 Gen 4 to fit the role as my concealed carry weapon. I switch back between Glock, SIG Sauer, and Heckler and Koch. I'm a huge fan of DA/SA. However, I cannot ignore the many benefits of a Glock striker fired 'safe-action' pistol. I recently even took my Glock kayaking with me and it wasn't affected by the salt water. I have a very, very, outdoorsy and active lifestyle. It's a nice change of pace to not have to worry so much about my concealed carry weapon. Now, onto the review of the following modifications:
Took my Glock 19 Gen 4 w/ S3F Solutions Barrel, AmeriGlo I-Dot Pros, and Agency Arms Trigger w/ minus connector out yesterday to run some rounds through it to test for function and some accuracy. There we zero malfunctions in only 200 rounds of 115gr Magtech FMJs.
The barrel, just a thread barrel that looks pretty. Didn't notice any more or less "accuracy" and that's not why I bought it anyways. So since I didn't shoot it suppressed. - PASS
The sights, they're great. 90 degree cut for one handed manipulations. Nice and fast acquisition with one bright dot up front and one dot behind it. Very, very, easy to see. However, my "hold" has changed with these sights and I didn't have enough time to find the sweet spot. It shoots fast and I see them fast. Which is a huge plus. Accurate at that distance, which is granted. 5, 7, 10 yard. GTG. I'd like to tighten the groupings up a bit more as I did with the stock sights that I had down to a golf ball. That'll come with time, once again. - PASS
The trigger, also an amazing upgrade. The trigger is flat and there is zero take-up whatsoever. You're automatically at the wall. Somewhat like a 1911, which is one of my favorite, if not my most favorite trigger in the world. It isn't ultra light, as all springs are factory and I've always been a little iffy about lightening my trigger too much. I didn't expect it to be the weight it is now even with the minus connector, I expected lighter. So I'm glad it's where it is. The trigger is great, very accurate. And really, I mean really crisp. Just need a little more time to be 99% confident with it as I was / am with my other guns. - PASS
So, this is has been my review. I'll try to attach some pics as well for you guys to see. I also have a video I would love to attach of me doing a triple tap from the hip and one to the head in about 2 seconds, with the stock setup. I'll try to work on that.
Hope you enjoyed!
