Glock 17 or 34?

A friend of mine gave me two preban Glock 9mm mags. My query now is to get a 34 or a 17, leaning towards the 34. Does anyone know the trade in value of a S&W 629 Mountain Gun and the value of an unfired Ruger Mk II 50th anniversary model? The 629 has been fired 100 times exactly.

I wouldn't sell an unfired Ruger MK II 50th edition. Being somewhat rare (made only one year) value is only going to go up (as long as it stays unfired). Chances are, that might become a collectable some day?

By all means trade the S&W in, and given the choice I would take the Glock 34 because I have a 17 and its not that accurate.

The Glock 34 is the way to go. They are both duty or competition guns due to their size.

The G34 has a 3.5 trigger setup on it yielding a 4.5 pound trigger pull which is smoother than a Glock 17 trigger right out of the box.

The added slide length should also give you 20-30 fps more over the G17 plus a slight accuracy edge.
