Glock 17 Magazines in Glock 19

Does a Glock 17 magazine fit in a Glock 19?

If it does, obviously it will stick out. So, does any company sell an extended baseplate or a spacer for such situation?

Lastly, aside from not dropping with some rounds in, do non-drop free Glock factory mags have any functional differences from drop free mags?

Thanks!

G17 mags will fit a G19 and a G26, as a G19 will also fit a G26. Mag 'grip extensions' are available, try Brownells.com. 'Drop free' and 'non drop free' is a misnomer, some drop and some don't. The difference in the mags is FML(full metal lined on 4 sides) or NFML(not full metal lined,ie, only 3 sides).

Okay, okay.

Still, aside from the "drop free" issue, is there any functional difference (mainly reliability) between FML and NFML magazines?

From my experience, no functional difference whatsoever. YMMV

I checked both the printed and online versions of Brownell's catalog and could not find any spacers to fill the gap when using a Glock 17 magazine in a Glock 19.

Does anyone have any information regarding such a spacer or baseplate?

Thanks.

Skorzeny,

I don't know of any spacers for G17 mags in a G19, but there are some designed for use with G17 & G19 Mags in a G26, so I imagine theey could be adapted easily.

I have a couple for use with G19 mags in my G26. Ajax grips www.ajaxgrips.com/vn/ag/09?token=a8d75adc30681 has them.

Thanks for the pictures. Hmmm. It seems that no one has come up with a Glock 17 magazine spacers for use in Glock 19, eh?

I tried Glockmeister.com, but its server seems to be down. I will have to try later.
