shot a buddys glock 10mm today the pistol feed 6 rounds then the gun jamed on me .the slide will not open so my buddy broke down the pistol and tryed to get the barrel out no luck bullet is in the barrel and the barrel will not come out. can
any of you glock guys help?

Are you saying a squib load , did the round fire ? Where exactly is the bullet? Slide and barrel off the gun? Have you tried to push the bullet back into the case .Sometimes a trip to the freezer will loosen the bullet because of differences in thermal expansion.

the round did not fire. can not push the bullet forword or backwords the gun did not recock it self im at a lost as to what happend

Is the brass still in the chamber ?

If you are positive the bullet did not fire, BEFORE you do anything else soak the barrel/slide with the bullet and case in it overnight in WD40 (submerged).

If the round is still live, the first thing to do is contaminate the primer and powder, so if you're working on it a detonation won't occur.

After/If the round (or what's left of it) is inert, take a small drill bit and drill into and thru the bullet. Obviously, don't get into the surface of the barrel or you will hose the barrel (if it isn't already hosed).

Then put the slide into a vise (padded jaws) just tight enough to hold it and using a small hammer and wooden dowel, drive the barrel out the front. Light taps and work slowly.

As soon as the barrel is loosened enough to move remove it and see what happened.

Make sure you get the lot number and brand of ammo used. Keep the original box if possible.

Give us a report when you can...

It sounds like a squib - primer blew the bullet part way into the barrel, but it is still stuck in the casing, too.

If you can field strip it, skip ahead, if not:

If you can, gently pry the extractor up off the case, or partially disassemble the extractor to do the same. Then you'll be able to open the slide or field strip the gun. REMEMBER NOT TO PULL THE TRIGGER FOR DISASSEMBLY IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE OF THE ROUND GOING OFF.

After the barrel is out it souldn't be to difficult to pull out the casing with pliers and then get a good look at the the stuck bullet to tap it out with a dowel.

Good luck, be safe.

thank's for all the info. my buddys going to let a smith look at it.
the round is live. i'm just not a glock guy i dont know what to do.
btw it's the first time i ever shot a glock.
think i'll stick with my sigs

Dave , a P7 is a real gun .It's got no superfluous parts like hammers and safeties. More accurate than others ,more reliable. And it gets lots of questions like 'what kind of gun is that ?' :p

Dave,

I believe that he is refering to the H&K P7 PSP or the P7M8 series of guns.

For example here is my PSP collection:

As was stated, they have no safeties, hammers or oddballl extrusions. They are solid steel and make a great club. They are thin, solid and quite accurate. They use a fixed barrel and gas retarded blowback system. They work very well with 9mm and particularly 9mm +p+ ammo. My experience is the hotter the load, the more accurate and reliable the gun.

They are my carry guns.

Peter,

Nice P7s! Why have you not yet turned at least one of them into a bonafide "barbeque" gun??? :D

Ok I call those a "Squeeze Kocker Krunchenticker's." I shot one about 7 or 8 times and it hurt my hand. Very nice guns for some folks, though. Thanks for reminding me of the correct name for them.

BTW, I have an old video -H&K P7 Pistols and Benelli Shotguns -1992. Since I don't have a video machine now if anyone would like it -send me a message ,I'll give it to you no charge.
