Glenfield Model 60 - front action screws?

Hi all - took an older (1975) Glenfield Model 60 in on a trade with the intention of cleaning it up and giving it to the woman. Upon dissassembly, found that the buffer was hard as a rock and cracked in two, and the front "action screws" (not sure what else to call them) are missing. The entire thing was absolutely filthy as well. The rear screws are actually a screw that threads into a sleeve and they are fine. Finding a replacement buffer isn't a problem, but I cannot seem to find the replacement front action screws anywhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks -

I don't have a link , but since you've been there already , shouldn't be a problem ! If you look at the old style Mod. 60 schematic you will find that it's item # 444380 , in stock $10.95 . There is only one front action screw , the next one back is the front triggerguard screw , which doesn't engage the action at all . They are out of stock . If you are going to order online , call their toll free (866) number and get a promo code , that will usually pay for shipping , or almost !

Ahh, we're talking about two different things. The screws I'm talking about are in the front of the lower receiver. I'm currently trying to win a set on eBay.

Thanks again!

The original Marlin repair manual recommended replacing the recoil spring on every one of those we worked on. We were a factory authorized Marlin warranty repair station.
