Girsan warrenty

Has anyone needed to have their girsan repaired under warrenty or needed repair after the one year ran out ?

was considering one given the price and extra parts it comes with as standard.
RIA is lifetime verses Girsan 1 year.

thanks

I know nothing about their quality but you should assume that a one-year warranty means just that. If something breaks after that time, whether their fault or yours, you will have to pay to have it fixed and you might have to pay shipping both ways as well. Some companies might go beyond the letter of their warranty, but they have no obligation to do so.

If you buy from Bud's which based on your other threads you will get:

All GIRSAN firearms are 100% guaranteed by Buds !
If you have ANY problems with a GIRSAN, Bud's will provide your choice of...

1. Full Refund
2. New Replacement
3. Warranty Repair

When you buy a GIRSAN...buy with 100% confidence your satisfaction is guaranteed by Buds !

So as long as Buds is around you should be good to go. I personally would buy a different 1911 but its your money $$$.

I don't see anything there that doesn't fall under that "one year" warranty
I'd want to see their time limits (or lack thereof) in writing

Bud's guarantee sounds good, but doesn't indicate any length of time, so I would assume it also is 1 year. They can't offer a warranty repair of more than a year if that is all the manufacturer will give you.

Girsans are made in Turkey. I seriously doubt that Bud's is shipping problem guns to Turkey for repair, so you don't know who is doing the repairs.

Armscor has an American branch in Nevada. All warranty repairs are done there. The head gunsmith, Arnel, is a great guy and a wizard with the 1911.

ATI also imports their 1911s from the Philppines, and I don't know where their warranty repairs are performed. If you're comparing warranties and customer service, Armscor is at the top of the heap.
