I have owned ,and own several of gibbs rifles. The .308 carbine was not particularly accurate for me.I have an Ishapore 2a that I cut and recrowned and added a fiberglass stock and mount/scope to.Its sorta ugly but it does shoot pretty good. The little carbine had a wobbly pinned on flashider that probably was responsible for the accuracy problems. If you enjoy these old guns like me then you cant go to wrong with one. They're easy to tinker with and a lot of fun.I have a no4mk11* that looks like it has never had hands on it.It shoots so good its scary with the issue sights and all the cheap surplus ammo i've tried.I paid 49.00 for this gun at a place called roses dept.store a few years ago when they still sold guns. They are all good guns, economical, and most will shoot with any commercial bolt rifle out there.Hope i did'nt bore you to bad.
got a gibbs, and though a few small things, not a bad rifle...haven't played with accuracy yet, still working a few bugs out of the action....gibbs stands behind their rifles, so if your not satisfied, give them a call...
