Gibbs No. 7 Jungle Carbine 308??

I have a Gibbs\Isapore(bad sp) No. 7 308 carbine. Has anyone seen or know where I can get a 5 round mag that would be legal to use for deer hunting. Great little gun that's fun to shoot.

Semo,I was just at the MDC website and the only thing I could find regarding magazine capacity read as follows: "self-loading firearms with a capacity of more then 11 cartridges in magazine and chamber combined" are prohibited.Since your Enfield is a bolt action it should be ok to hunt with the 10 round magazine it came with.

By the way,I just picked up a .308 Jungle Carbine at last weekends St.Charles show and am chomping at the bit to try it out.I`ve still got a doe tag to fill for the January extension and may carry it.My rifle is from Navy Arms.I believe they have bought out Gibbs.

SGN Volume 54 Issue 33 (December 4, 2000) page 35. They are listed in their ad. I have not purchased one so I do not have direct knowledge of availability.

J&G does not have any of the five round mags in stock and do not know when they will get them. The gibbs web site had several wholesalers listed and I contacted several of them and no one had them. One said they are hung up on a boat due to importation problems. The Bat Boys are at it again I guess. Thanks for your ideas\comments.
