Ghostrings on Rem. Marine

Hi guys. Anyone out there tried to mount MMC or similar Ghostring sights on a Remington Marine? OK, the rear sight is no problem because you drill and tap. What about the front sight which is either soldered or glued in place? I can't imagine that this method would work real well with the slick satin nickle finish. Just curious....

Im not sure if they still do it this way but the scatterguns front sight was glued over the front bead...fubsy.

Do you think that glue would stick to the finish Remington uses, or would you have to take a Dremel to it and cut through the Satin Nickle?

MMC also makes a banded front sight. This slips on and clamps tight without ruining the finish. I have the 11-87 Police with the parkerized finish and didn't want to have to refinish my barrel so I went with the band front sight. Works great and stays put.
