Getting scratches out of satin stainless

Hello, everyone.

I have a stainless steel Ruger GP100. According to the Ruger website, it has a satin finish. It has a few very light scratches on it, and I was wondering what I can do to remove them. Would polish work, or would it leave bright, shiny spots? And what about scotchbrite? Am I best off just leaving the scratches?

I believe Ruger recommends grey Scotchbrite pads.

Heck, I'm thinkin about goin with the full-blown "pimp polish" with the rouge of my choice that can always be touched up the next time I find scratches. jd
