And I am excited! It'll be nice to have a shorter one than my 7 1/2" :D

Definatly a beauty:

Ahh .... the 4 5/8" Super Blackhawk! Must be one hell of a beast to shoot with full power loads! I used to have a 5.5" SBH and then later went to the extreme and tried the 10.5" version which turned out to be the mildest to shoot 44 that I ever fired!

I no longer own any SBHs but am thinking of going with the classic 7.5" version sometime soon. But I kind of miss that 10.5"!

They are definatly awesome guns :D The only 4" .44 I've shot has been a Smith 29, and that was sure a kicker will full power loads! I bet this will be, too.

The 7 1/2" seems pretty mild to me compared to other .44's it's size, I'd compare it to shooting a hot .357 mag out of a 4" gun, definatly know it's going off, but it doesn't hurt(even with the stock grips). :p

Just got back from picking it up! Awesome gun. The action is a bit rougher than my 7 1/2", but the smooth trigger makes up for it as the serrated one on the 7 1/2" bites into my fingers. Bought it from a GTer, for $300. Came with a Hunter 1100 holster, so it was an okay deal

I had a 7.5 & 10.5 inch Superblackhawk. I kind of miss the 10.5 incher as it shot really well. all I used it for was IHMSA. I think if I ever got another 44 mag that would be the one. it would be even better if Ruger made it in 41 mag
