Gettin' behind the wheel

Hey everybody,

For years, I have shot semi auto handguns.
Recently, I found myself shopping for a new carry piece,
perhaps a 1911 or a BHP or a Beretta 92 or a CZ 75. I looked and looked and all of the listed guns I had owned before, except the BHP. Today, I finally made my choice.

I bought a S&W Model 19 Combat Magnum in a 4 in. bbl.
It came with Hogue grips and the sweetest trigger pull you can imagine. I have only owned one wheel gun before now, an S&W police trade in that would not go into battery. I have not shot a revolver in years and am completely spoiled by semi-autos. I would appreciate any feedback, good or ill, that you have to offer along with any tips that may be useful in acquainting me with this most beautiful weapon. Thanks, jimbo

Jimbo .. the M19 is one of the alltime greats ... doubt anyone who has had one has not been more than praiseworthy.

Hints and tips?? Gee ... I doubt you'll need any ... and anyways ... hard to know what to mention. Trigger is you say (almost predictably) sweet as sweet.

I guess in truth .... all you need do is go shoot the livin crap outa it :p .. and enjoy to max!! I would maybe suggest a good diet of .38 spl used D/A to get real used to sighting, feel and aim recovery .... and then stoke up to mags and try a few of those. Once you are comfy with fluid D/A use .... the revo world is yours!!

ENJOY!! :)
