Get The Lead Out

Tru Dat. But completely off the bullet???

Exhibit A:
http://my.picresize.com/Z2BWSOK84J

Three 158 grain bonded, top of the line, name brand hollowpoints fired into water- saturated newsprint at a distance of ten feet, estimated velocity from a three inch barrel 1160 fps, penetration 11-12 inches. No jacket separations, no lead fragments recovered.

Never having tested any heavy handgun rounds before, maybe somebody knows what occurred here. For all I know, this could be normal. That's some mean looking wad cutters there. Thanks in advance for replies.

Looks like perfect performance to me! Peeled back & mushroomed front with major expansion & the rear stayed intact to push the expanded bullet deep.
What do they weigh before & after firing? I'm guessing very little weight loss.

If you’re talking about the way one side folded back more than the other it’s usually caused by not hitting your medium straight on. If your bullet hits at an angle you won’t get consistent expansion around the diameter of the bullet. The fact that all 3 look the same is a good indication that is the reason.
