Get a Doctor to go shooting?

WOW!! I got a Doctor from where I work, ask me if they could goto "the range" one day with me!!! I did get to know them RATHER well since I started working at my present job. The first day I started work there I was like "Oh god I am in Anti Heaven!", based on Lunch time chat! Guess I could try to slowly convert all of them. :D

My favorite surgeon can out shoot most folks I know in hunting/field situations. There are some great shooter, sportsmen, RKBA folks in the medical community. You are right though, let's get more. Surgeons are especially vocal folks!
 
My brother will soon be a doctor (4th year med student), and he's not anti at all. OTOH, his wife is a staunch anti with unwarranted fears (typical of a woman). My cousin is a urologist, and he doesn't have a problem with guns either. Not all doctors are antis. I think it's probably half and half.

My Doctor and I go shooting frequently and we usually travel the gun show circuit together. ;)

My brother-in-law just graduated med school and has come around to the pro-2nd amend. side. He didn't have much of a choice. When my sister graduated college(nurse) she asked my parents for a full size .45 as a graduation present and informed him(dr) when they married that she kept it loaded and ready to go in her house and it would continue to be that way. He now shoots regularly with her when he gets a chance.
 
most of the doctors i know are pro gun, they have the money to shoot, so next question, why the heck is their orgainzation and others like the American Medical Association so anti?
