Gentlemen: I had in hands a middle-aged rifle - a Mauser mod. 66, cal 7x64 Brenneke, and also the test group from the factory, that comes with the rifle. The 3 shot group, fired at 100 meters, measures 1.3 cm, optimum for my taste, but in the paper was printed the following parameters followed by observations:
Up to 5 cm - excellent
Up to 7 cm - very good
Up to 10 cm - good
Your comments, please.

1.3 cm = 0.51 in.
5 cm = 1.97 in.
7 cm = 2.76 in.
10 cm = 3.94 in.

1 M.O.A. is 1.05 in. or approximately 1 in.

1.3 cm (0.5 M.O.A.) would be excellent, especially for 5 shot groups. I find I often get lucky and have extremely good 3 shot groups that are not representive.

With the right combination of ammunition and skill most firearms in good condition are capable of 5 cm.
