..I voted for GB because Kerry had NOTHING to offer and little to believe him..Bush has been something of a snowball disappointment..serious issues facing this country and he is looking more like a weak-kneed compromiser..more like a politician trying to appear statesmanlike...and I am feeling in my gut he is on the corporate-dole train...my trust in him is fading quickly...he is almost treating the Iraq situation like a pet social-science project...there are too many other equally serious threats facing our country that are almost ignored or poorly confronted on his part...

I second your sentiment

and "feel your pain." :) Oh, that was a different disappointment in the WH.

I don't get it either. The guy is leaning-no- running left like he'strying to catch a ball. WTF? He is wimping out the really important issues while infringing upon basic rights. Where is he when we need border security, gun rights, right to life issues, freedom of speech and religion?

What kind of President allows millions of criminals to flood our borders and then screams that police need more (illegal) powers? They are not using the ones they have. He thinks taking our constitutional protections against illegal searches or the right to face one's accusers in a fair and speedy trial of one's peers are quaint but unnecessary under his rule.

And as far as growth and the economy, it has gone from bad to pretty bad.

I am so tired of political doublespeak and outright lies.

Sorry. ranting. If only we could get a real conservative in the WH before we lose it all...

Calm down, it's only two more years until Hillary.
Yeah, right. She'll "fix" everything.:barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:

If The American Sheeple are simpleminded, gullible and stupid enough to elect her, they will deserve what they get.

Trouble is, the rest of us will get it, too.

I voted for him too - I'm chalking it up to lesson learned. If he's an example of what the Republican party has to offer - my future votes will go Libertarian.

I voted for a "third world" candidate in '92 (Perot) and look what it got us - the first scumbag Clinton infested the White House.

Vote Libertarian in '08 and the same thing will happen - you might as well vote for Reichmarshall Hillary herself.

It's unfortunately true :(

I don't think Americans really want freedom anymore. They just want the particular freedoms they care about and for other people to conform to their own ideal. And this goes for both the big parties.

I did not vote for President Bush in the Republican primaries, but I did vote for President Bush in the general election.

I am usually never 100% in agreement with anyone on anything, but I do try to find "viable canidates" to vote for in which I agree with them (at least partially) on a majority of issues.

The only person I ever agree with 100% on anything is myself :D

I can't think of a better time for a viable independent candidate than 2008.
Anyone who capitulates to the same old non representation and disregard for the middle class gets what they deserve!

Rimrock,

Unfortunately there are no "viable" 3rd party's in the USofA.

Sure the Republican party isnt perfect, but I sure as heck dont want to ever see a President Hillary Clinton.

Puppy,
Maybe I'm naive or maybe I have some unique insight but frankly I don't see HC or anyone who is that polarizing capturing their parties nomination and the hearts of the Nation. This country's had enough of the division and abrasive agents for a while from both sides.
Independents can emerge very quickly when the need is as severe as it is presently.Candidates from all directions can and do! Many had never heard of BC back in the day!...and all of a sudden "he are one!"
The many passionate and critical issues which now face us scream for something different. From the Spend-A-Rama by both parties to the irresponsible and vicious destruction of the middle class to manipulation of our concern for security while leaving the borders wide open...and offering carte blanche to anyone able to get here!:barf:

The genuine disgust for "W and Co" has put HC on the map for now but as time goes bye I believe there will be real alternatives.

I really don't think Hillary would win. There are too many people vocaly against it.

All the Republicans need to do to stay in power right now is run a moderate or at least not overly infamous/extreme candidate. The Deomcrats have been doing such a good job of putting up people who are absolute slimeballs that they've guranteed continued Republican leadership for some time to come.

Short of something massive (like confiscation of privately owned weapons), I don't think we'll have a "supprise third party". And there is no way for a third party to gather support in time for the next Presidential Election: heck, they aren't trying to start out properly in the first place. So we're gonna have a choice between Rep and Dem again, and repeatedly, until one party or the other implodes...
