Took my Mossberg M-590 12 gauge out to the garage, back bored it, lengtheded the forcing cone, ported the barrel.
From that I got two results, one good, one annoying.
On the good side, it groups 12 pellets of OO buck into 12 inches at 30 yards, a very good thing for a social gun to do.
On the not so good side, now the recoil forces are in a straight line, axial to the barrel. While it's like shooting a very loud .22 rimfire as far as recoil, the darn safety keeps engaging every 4th-5th round.
I've tightened everything available and am out of ideas, other than locktite. HELP!
