Geo Fisher black powder shotgun

Hi
A co-worker brought in a unique shotgun to show off this morning.
It's a damascus steel side by side muzzle loader. The only markings we can find is Geo Fisher on the side plate. It has some nice engraving on the steel, the stock has been carved with an Indian head design on the bottom. The trigger guard and plate at the front of the hanguard appear to be made of silver.
Any info would be appreciated!

There are many gun makers listed in both Britain and the U.S.A. by the name of Fisher. There was a George A. Fisher who made gun in Madesto, AS from 1883 - 1893. Guns with this name are reminiscent of guns built by the English and Belgian bun trade.

This is all I could find in Side by Sides of the world for Y2K,by Charles Carder.

Thanks for the info. It's a really unique gun with the carved stock, but it's had its share of home gunsmithing too. Beautiful wall-hanger.
