General's Back Up: Ain't We the Bomb!

Well, that's it. We have Good News, Bad News and Worse News....and Good News!

* The Good News: We have successfully recombined General and General Archive and the Server is none the worse for wear! Handgun and Legal will be next.
* Bad News: We lost about 140 General topics in accomplishing our goals
* Worse News: These were the most current topis...there was a corrupted file in the General Directory and our attempts to locate it must have included a few poorly selected key strokes. :(
....
* Good News: We still have the HTML versions of the lost threads and will try to reconstruct tomorrow. </UL>

Off to dinner.

Let me just be the first to say thanks for all of the hard work. Its good to have general back. You guys are the bomb.

for you and whatever gnomes were helping you congrats on a best effort. I can only guess at the work it took to bring the General back.

The improvement is very noticeable. Great job. ;)
