Ancient Chinese curse - "May you live in interesting times."
I don't get these politicians. Whether you win or lose, there is always the next election. What's with all the lawyers? Jeez...We have a Constitution, and its worked well for over 200 years. Why change it now??? How about waiting until ALL the votes are counted, then the candidate with the most votes according to the current rules win. I do believe the jerks on both sides will stretch this out until the Electoral College meets December 18th - or longer.
I hate ranting - always rather be doing something constructive. Tell you what I am planning to do personally. If this situation isn't resolved, I am going on strike December 7th. I am not going to do any work. I am not going to buy any products or services. I am not going to turn on the TV or watch any other media. I am not going to circulate a single dime in this economy. And I am going to spend the time between now and then telling people why.
--We are ALL Americans. We want a president who will represent us ALL; who will help ALL of us understand and work better with each other. We are seriously tired of this divisiveness. We are tired of the lies, the corruption, the lawyers, and preferential treatment of one group over another. We should make this point by hitting the politicians where it hurts them the most - in the pocketbook. When we work, we are trading our skills and our time for money, from which the government extracts big bucks in the form of taxes. Since we are obviously not getting our tax money's worth, it's best to take some of that valuable time back. Stay at home, play with the kids, read a good book. Whatever floats your boat.--
Since these two groups of children that make up the Democratic and Republican parties are fighting over THE SURPLUS (which really doesn't exist, BTW), why not give them a little less to play with?
If I end up the only one, fine, I will be content. This is the only way I know how to make a difference, albeit a small one.
rant mode off/
My apologies. Needed to let off some steam. I really do care for this country...<heavy sigh>
