Bought the scale to double check my powder loads, its a nice little scale. I set the charge in the Charge Master & fine tune it with the GemPro. Check it out, anyone out there using it, if so how's it working for you?
I use one to set my powder measure for progressive loading and to check my Chargemaster when batch loading for rifle and workups. It's always spot on when I check it with check weights or compare with my 10-10 beam scale.
Been a long while since I used the scale. I use it with a trickler to get loads to the .01 grain resolution. Takes 2 kernels of RL15 to move the marker .01 grain. Very consistent scale.
Whats funny to me is that when I use a .1 grain sensitivity scale, I trickle to the .1 grain. When I use a .01 grain scale I try for the precision of the resolution of the scale. Oddly enough, I see no difference on target.

Thanks for answering my post, I also find the scale a plus to my measuring, very accurate. Do you leave it plugged in all the time or start out cold and let it warm up. I do calibrate both scales every time. I calibrate the 250 with both a 20 & 50gm weighs in scale & line mods. What is your system to set up.?
Keep in mind that most auto progressive powder hoppers cant't throw any closer that +/= .1 grains, depending on the powder. Corn flake powders can go +/-.3 grains. so the resolution on the $20 digital scale is more than accurate. I use the $28 Gemini 20, .001 grams, or .015 grains.
9X45, Gemini20 will do the job. I use the gempro to also fine tune the charge from the CM 1500 that is +/- .1gr. for bench rest shooting I want a more exact charge, that's why l went with a second scale that is .02gr in weight readings
I leave mine plugged in and turned on all the time. I calibrate it with the 20 gram check weight every time I sit down for a session with it. I don't always check it with check weights, but when I do, I prefer Dos XX... wait, got sidetracked. When I do check it with checks weights, it's usually spot on and never off more than .02 grain.
higgite, how long do you have scale? When you turn it on, how long do you wait when you turn it on untill you start to weigh. Thanks for getting back, the scale is my new toy. Very pleased with it.
I've had mine for 3 or 4 years. When I turn it on from cold, I let it warm up 15-30 minutes or so. But it's rarely ever turned off, usually only after we've had a power outage. It doesn't turn itself back on after a power interruption.
