I never would have thought...

I buy and sell guns way too often it seems. I buy one, try it for a while, then sell it. It seems that guns don't last in my hands for too long before they get sold. I have owned Springfield, Walther, Colt, Para, Ruger, Taurus, and just about every other major brand.

Today I took stock of my handguns and low and behold:

Smith 642 (no lock)
Smith 686 (no lock)
Smith M&P Compact (no lock)

Dang, how did I get stuck in a Smith and Wesson rut? One thing is for sure, these are some of the best that I've owned (although aside from the PPS I've never really had a dud).

I guess I'm officially a Smith fan now?

My dad got me hooked on Smith's in 1957. I've got two right now, M35 and M60. Dad had to sign for the M35, because I was only 17 at the time. I like Beretta's best as semi-autos go. Sure wish I'd gotten a Colt Diamondback. Maybe someday.

I own a S&W 6906. It was my first handgun. I also own a Kahr MK9, Sig P226 in 9mm and Kimber Custom II in .45 ACP. I have put about 7000 rounds through the S&W and have never had any kind of failure with any ammo. Can't say that about my other handguns

love my S&W revolvers!

My aunt had a broom-handle Mauser the my uncle brought home from WWII. Someone broke into her home, and the only thing they stole was the Mauser. That was a fascinating handgun. .30 caliber. It's kind of like having an original Luger. I'm sure it was an inside-job, but we don't know, and looks like we never will. That was 5 years ago. I've got a hunch it was traded for an ounce of cocaine. :(

Don't forget the J Frames....

Then there's the "small ones."

There are more that I don't have pictures of......I should correct that.

Wait until you get a few more before you unfairly label yourself. No need to put yourself in a box too soon. I have nine S&W firearms (eleven if you count the two S&W made Walthers) and I still haven't labeled myself a S&W man. :)

That's because your a pretentious gun owner.:D

Funny how it turns out that way. 4 out of my last 5 were all S&W's. It just happened. I wonder if there's a support group.

Hello, my name is ******* and I can't stop buying S&W's.

Poor you - stuck with a bunch of old Smiths.

My favorite revolver is a S&W N frame DA .45 ACP, made around 1936, a commercial model. It's a work of art - no one makes anything near as good now.
I have been a Smith fan since the 1970's, own only 4 of them right now, though.
