Game Time

This 'game is open to all members, but I would specifically like feedback from all of you who claim to be 'libertarians', both the real ones and the wanna be's (you know who you are). ;)

Proposed...Given your grave concerns with our nation, its government, its place in the world as well as domestic issues...taxation, abortion, firearms rights, etc....paint for us a detailed picture of how our lives would be different, both domestically and internationally, under a 'libertarian' government as well as the detailed steps that would be necessary to transcend the gap between where you think we are now and where you think we ought to be.

Points will be earned for thoughtful, intellegent answers that detail both the issues and workable solutions. Points will not be earned for finger pointing, name calling, posturing, chest thumping, arrogance, etc. No trolling, flaming or posting of published 'expert' opinions will be allowed. We want to know what you think, not what you think someone else knows.

This is an exercise set in a real world scenario. Keep that in mind when formulating your answer, i.e. no magic solutions to intractable problems.

You may begin when ready. There is no time limit.

I like the idea of this "game" however it might be a bit easier to tackle one issue at a time. Instead of rambling manifestos about every possible scenario and how libertarian ideals would change everything perhaps gburner could suggest a specific area to discuss. We can discuss it and move along to the next.
I'm one of those sorta libertarians (kinda like being sorta pregnant?). So I would enjoy to discuss real world ramifications.

Well, I must admit that I'm just a little disappointed that no one wanted to come out and play this afternoon
(ecept Mick). Perhaps if I leave this up a little longer we may get some real, substantive discussion going here instead of the usual 'your dog is uglier than mine' stuff.

Folks are encouraged to take small bites or approach the problem wholecloth, whatever floats yer boat.

Step 1: Drop out of the Libertarian Party.
Step 2: Join one of the two major political parties in our country.
Step 3: Adhere to a strict "Individual Freedom and Individual Responsibility" policy and begin to effect change from within your party.
Step 4: Run for something local. Start small, think big.
