Has anyone ordered from Gallery of Guns using Gun Genie before?

Is the total price online what we end up paying? Any additional cost?

It says 'fee' covers shipping and background check...

Fees:
This amount covers the dealer’s fees including their inbound freight from us, background check fees, etc. No additional “transfer fees” should apply.

Thanks.

It should be covered. By using that, you are basically buying the gun directly from the dealer so there is no transfer fee. You're just taking them out as the middle man vs ordering from some place like Bud's and then having it transferred.

Yes, I bought a Buck mark from them last summer. Had it delivered to the closest dealer to me, Their were no extra taxes or transfer fees, what you pay at ordering covers everything.

Bought a Taurus TCP from them last year, no problems at all. I would not hesitate to use them again. Price was exactly as quoted on website, paid the deposit online and the remainder in cash when I picked up the gun.

I check out the item on Gun Genie and then have my dealer order it, this way he will often give me a price below what is posted on Genie. If I were to order it the Genie price is locked in.

I think Gun Genie is the search and ordering tool for Davidson's (distributor). You choose the gun and basically get quotes from retailers in your area. I have purchased a few guns through them. All costs are included in the quote. No extra charges. I also use it as a reference for price research.

One possible exception to the "no charges" thing (which of course befell me since Murphy is in charge of everything I do); I ordered a revolver through GG and everything went smoothly--except my nearest FFL transfer was actually across a state line from my state of residence--so I ended up having to pay for an additional FFL transfer--my mistake but lesson learned. I would order anything through them no worries at all otherwise.

It works very well.

If you have concerns about details, CALL your chosen gun store and ask them.

Most do it often and will calm all your fears.

Yep, you choose the dealer you want based on their quotes and that is exactly what you pay. Never had a problem using that site.

Thanks.

They seem to have fair price as well.

I bought a pistol from my local store instead of ordering online. The problem with that is there's no way to tell if the gun is actually new. I didn't inspect it thoroughly and ended up finding with some gouging marks on the gun later on. The shop denied any involvement, of course.

Gonna purchase online from now on.

That's the downside to LGS's--you never know what the firearm has really been through. I always ask for new in box in storage--and I am almost always told its the last one they have. It's fun to come back the next morning to see a replacement on display. LOL

Gallery of Guns is the only way I now buy guns. Their service is as advertised, and their warranty can't be beat. A few years ago I ordered a lever action rifle chambered in .357 that also shot .38's. First time out shooting it there was no problem shooting the .38's, but it would not feed the .357's. I called the gun store where I picked it up, they called Gallery of Guns and described the problem. An hour later someone from Gallery of Guns called me and gave me the choice of having it repaired or replaced with a new gun. I chose the new gun option and it was delivered two days later.

The price quoted when purchasing is what you pay when picking up the gun...or any other item such as lasers, etc. No hidden costs whatsoever.

I have had good experiences buying through them. Pretty hassle free and delivered in a good time. I've never had to use the warrantee but it is good to have. I watch for their sale items and they have some really low prices from time to time.:)

I Prefer Buds myself. No shipping, use CC, or check online for no 3% fee, free delivery and only a $10 fee from my FFL. No State taxes are Charges. This is a big chunk on a $1000. firearm and adds up in savings.
Just have to be patient because it take a week or so to get it however they keep you informed on process with e-mail.
Gallery of Guns charges more.

I've bought from them, no issues.

But....

The lgs said they would typicall BEAT the gog price as long as I would wait until they could group an order. Time vs $, sometimes patience pays off.

The point to remember is look the gun over real well from GOG. If satisfied, pay for it or refuse it and you aren't out anything. If its paid for. you own it.
