The rest of the story is that, apparently, Mrs. Hines has been ill for a long time and Mr. Hines got tired of waiting for her to go of natural causes. In any case, I love the fact that Florida authorities generally know a justified shooting when they see one.

This came out of one of those brain-dead gun-grabber women's meetings. One participant was asked, "OK, then. Suppose some guy approaches you some dark night, pulls a gun, and tells you he's going to rape and kill you. What do you do if you are unarmed?"

The Daytona Beach News-Journal had a longer article Sunday. Their web site apparently only holds the current day's stuff or I'd have linked it.
