Yet one more example of the implement being incidental to the violent individual. Will the MMMs protest this?

A Screven County High School student was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah Wednesday afternoon after being struck in the head with a hammer.
The victim, 19-year-old Aquina Cooper, and another student, Kaeshanier "Princess" Cooper, 18, were reportedly fighting at school when Princess allegedly pulled a hammer from her book bag and assaulted Aquina, according to a press release approved by Screven County Sheriff Mike Kile.
The altercation stemmed from "an ongoing dispute between the two girls," according to the release.
School officials apparently called the Screven County Sheriff's Department, where Cpl. Gayla Monroe-Reffner was assigned to investigate the incident along with members of the Sylvania Police Department.
Princess Cooper is currently being held without bond at the Sylvania Police Department, awaiting a preliminary hearing set for Monday, according to the release.
Neither Sylvania Police Department officials nor Screven County Sheriffs officials would reveal whether she was charged with aggravated assault or if other charges were made as well.
"That information isn't public information until the sheriff approves it," said a Screven County Sheriff's Department employee, who would not give his name.
Neither Kile nor Screven County High School Principal Rudy Falama were immediately available for comment Wednesday evening.
According to a Memorial Medical Center spokesman, Aquina Cooper was in stable condition Wednesday evening.
