G3 Sighting Question

Is there a combat zero procedure similar to the AR15? In other words,
if the AR is zero'ed at 25 yards it's generally good for 250 with the same sight setting, and then all of the other yardage settings are true.

I have a scope on my G3 and was told if it shoots an 1.5" low from center at 25 yards that it would be true at 100. Is that right? I don't have a lot of land to go and try this out on.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Hey thanks! I didn't even know that existed.:)

Uh, is there another link to the site. That didn't work. It opened another window and then just sat there with a blank screen.

Battle Sight Zero

You can zero your rifle for a maximum point-blank range for an eight-centimeter-radius cirlcle (3 in)

Initial intersection 22.7 yds
Maximum Ordinate 119 yrds
Second Intersection 217 yds
Maximum Point-blnak range 260 yds

This zero will allow you to just aim and fire from 0 to 260 yds without adjusting your sights. Your shots will all impact in a 3 inch circle, excluding human error, wind, inherent accuracy of rifle, and load.

Very cute page. I tried the "problem at hand", and came up with a 25 yard zero is on at 212 yards with 168gr .308 rounds. Then, I discovered the "roll your own" menu, looks like a useful bookmark! :D
