G3 Rear sight problem

Attempted to zero a G3 (Centurion 2000/Hesse steel reciever) this weekend. Figured out why I need to go buy the tool to adjust elevation (what a pain), but I cant get the windage correct.

I have the rear sight over as far as it will go for Right Windage, but it needs to adjust another 3" over (@ 25yds) to be dead on. What else can be done? I thought of modifiying the way it fits the sight base, but then the rear sight would be hanging way off to one side of the reciever. What else can be done?

Of course, my friends Centurion 2000, purchased the same day, works perfect and was a dream to zero in.

The rifles shoot great, though they are loud :)

Thanks!

G2

Look down the length of the receiver and the barrel. Has the gun been assembled straight or is it slightly off? Also check your muzzle for dings.

If any of the above, return for an exchange.

I wonder if any metal can be removed from the sight base such that it can be moved a couple of thousanths over? Have to think about it.

How much are they new?

This is going to sound a little weird but I now have a centurion 2000 that I took as a partial trade on a vehicle I sold to a friend of a friend, single mom that needed it really bad. I was curious to know the original retail of this weapon. Thank you, John

resurrection a post from 8 years ago is not the way to ask how much something costs. search online.

i did it for you and came up with $400 at the very most now. no idea what they were originally
