G29 with 4-6 inch barrel

I want the G29 for it's compact size and powerhouse 10mm versatility. I plan to use it in my EDC rotation. That said, for woods carry I'd like the option of a longer barrel. Am I correct that I can drop in the G20's 4.62 inch barrel into the G29 as desired?

If so, is the accuracy of the longer barrel affected by the shorter sight radius of the G29? Would the improved accuracy be that much more noticeable?

I'd most likely pick up a KKM Precision barrel to have the option of shooting heavy cast bullets, even though I'm sure the Glock OEM longer barrel would suffice for my needs.

I currently own a 4th Gen G29 and used to own a 3rd gen G20 and a 3rd Gen G29. If I remember right (I could be wrong), you can't put a barrel made for the G20 into the G29, because of the differences between the locking blocks that are in the G29 and the G20 frames (the locking lugs on a barrel made for the G20, will not lock correctly with the locking block in the G29's frame). You basically will need to buy a 6" aftermarket barrel made specifically for the G29 (KKM Precision and Lone Wolf Dist. are both good choices).

A longer barrel in your G29 will definitely give you more velocity for sure, but most likely give you about the same accuracy given you are utilizing the same sight radius. Those I have heard that aftermarket barrels often have tighter chambers than the stock Glock barrels, not sure one way or the other if that relates or translates to better accuracy or not.

Correct, a G20 barrel will not drop into a G29 because of the difference in lock up, but there are a number of quality aftermarket drop ins available. Many of these will be short chambered so the user can finish ream the chamber to their exact load dimensions, normally hand loads. Be sure to function fire any ammo you decide to use in aftermarket barrels.
