G23

Ok I'm a newbie here so this maybe a question that has already been answered in another thread. I did not see a reference to this, so bare with me if it has been answered before.

I have a new G23 (about a year now) I would like to purchase a new barrel in 357SIG. Other than new barrel is there anything else that should be changed?

Some people have trouble with the 40 mags feeding 357 and some don't. Try yours first and see. Some people go with a stronger recoil spring and some don't. Frame battering issues.

I too recently purchased a G23. I was not aware that you could get the .357 conversion kit for it.

Now I must save up and get that so I have both calibers. :D

My experience with a second-generation G23 and a Federal Arms .357sig barrel went without a hitch. The .40 (hi-cap)magazines work flawlessly and the barrel dropped in and functioned without a second thought.

I do a BBL swap with my G27 and All I swapped was the BBL. The mags feed flawlessly and it shoots like a dream. The Glock regional salesman I talked to said no spring upgrade was necessary.
